It's forty years since the previous great gathering of the Murray clan took place in Blair Atholl on 25th May 1985, an event recorded in the Journal and Newsletter by hard-working editor and long-serving overseas secretary, Archie Russell Murray. We remember it well. In April 2024, we approached the leadership of the Murray Clan Society of North America (MCSNA) with an idea to work in partnership to plan and host an international Murray Clan Gathering in Scotland. The leadership of MCSNA may be considering the idea of organising an international Murray Clan Gathering at Blair Castle and one of their members might already be co-ordinating and making preparations for a MCSNA visit to Scotland in the coming years. We're pleased to have got the ball rolling and happy to see someone running with it. Good volunteers these days are hard to find on this side of the ocean, but we wish the organisers across the Atlantic all the best in making the arrangements to bring Murrays together in the coming years.
